Role Description

We are building a scalable EV Charging Platform that powers the next generation of mobility and energy services. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, develop, and optimize core backend services that enable millions of EV charging transactions across drivers, fleets, and partners.

You will work closely with the Solution Architect, IoT engineers, and frontend / mobile teams to build reliable, secure, and highly available APIs and microservices. This is a hands-on coding role with opportunities to take on technical leadership as the team grows.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs for EV charging workflows (session management, billing, user management, roaming).
• Collaborate with IoT engineers to integrate OCPP protocols and manage charger-to-cloud communication.
• Develop and optimize payment flows (wallets, subscriptions, roaming settlements).
• Build and maintain data pipelines for telemetry, charging analytics, and reporting.
• Ensure backend systems are secure, resilient, and compliant with data privacy and financial regulations.
• Contribute to system design discussions with the Solution Architect and Product Manager.
• Write clean, testable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Mentor junior engineers and review code to ensure quality.
• Work with DevOps / SRE to ensure high availability, CI / CD pipelines, monitoring, and scaling.
