Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled FPGA Platform Engineer to join our NVEG PE Test Platform team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating FPGA-based systems for high-speed NAND testing platforms. This role involves close collaboration with firmware, hardware, and software teams to deliver robust and scalable FPGA solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and implement FPGA designs using Verilog / VHDL for NAND testing platforms.
- Integrate FPGA logic with firmware and software components.
- Conduct simulation, synthesis, and timing analysis using tools like Xilinx Vivado, Intel Quartus, and Lattice Diamond.
- Perform board bring-up and debug using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and PCIe analyzers.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system-level requirements and translate them into FPGA architectures.
- Validate FPGA designs through stress tests, overnight sequential / random I / O, and protocol compliance (e.g., UFS, PCIe).
- Document design specifications, test plans, and validation reports.
- Support predictive status read, suspend / resume flows, and UniPro 3.0 features
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.3+ years of experience in FPGA design and development.Proficiency in Verilog / VHDL and scripting languages (TCL, Shell, Perl).Experience with high-speed protocols : PCIe Gen4 / 5 / 6, USB, JESD204B / C, SPI, I2C, UARTFamiliarity with embedded systems and hardware-software integration.Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with NAND bring-up and SSD tester architecture.Exposure to UniPro 2.0 / 3.0, UFS HIF, and SCSI command sets.Knowledge of LDPC encoding / decoding, DMA, and AXI peripherals.Certifications in FPGA development (e.g., Xilinx Certified Developer).Soft Skills
