AI Engineer — Early Founding Tech Team (ESOP)

We are hiring a Founding AI Engineer to join our early technical team and help build an advanced AI automation and intelligent agent platform. This is a high-ownership role where you will work directly on core architecture, agentic reasoning systems, LLM pipelines, workflow orchestration, and distributed backend infrastructure.

You will be responsible for designing intelligent agents, developing multi-step reasoning workflows, implementing memory and retrieval systems, building function-calling and tool-use capabilities, and developing the backend logic required for scalable AI-driven automation.

Responsibilities

Build agentic systems with planning, reasoning, and autonomous execution.

Develop multi-step decision-making and reasoning pipelines.

Implement RAG, embeddings, vector search, memory, and retrieval layers.

Create validation, safety, and self-correction mechanisms for agents.

Integrate and optimize LLMs for real-world task execution.

Build structured prompts, output schemas, and function-calling systems.

Design backend orchestration, workers, state machines, and workflow logic.

Implement concurrency, retry mechanisms, scheduling, and error handling.

Work on cloud deployment, CI / CD, monitoring, logs, and observability.

Ensure authentication, API security, and system performance.

Required Skills

Strong experience in

Python

or

Node.js / TypeScript .

Deep understanding of

LLMs ,

embeddings ,

RAG , and

agentic patterns .

Knowledge of

distributed systems ,

queues ,

events , and

background jobs .

Strong foundation in

data structures ,

algorithms ,

graphs , and

state machines .

Ability to translate research concepts into

production-grade systems .

Preferred Skills (Bonus)

Experience with

vector databases .

Knowledge of

workflow engines

or

task runners .

Understanding of

autonomous agents ,

planning models , or

RL .

Experience building

low-code / visual workflows .

Ability to optimize LLM performance for

speed, cost, and latency .

Candidate Profile

Passion for building deep AI systems (not basic wrappers).

Strong problem-solving and system design abilities.
