Daimler Truck is hiring Transmission Housing Design Engineer..!

Short Description

• Position : Gearbox Housing Design Engineer (T8);
• Education : B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Automotive, or Production;
• Experience : Min. 6 years in automotive eAxle or transmission gearbox housing design;

Responsibilities :

Design gearbox housings considering functional, durability, and manufacturing requirements (HPDC / LPDC / Sand Casting). Collaborate with cross functional teams & develop gearbox components with cast suppliers. Support in design of gears, shafts. tubes and sheet metal brackets.

Skills :

Expertise in housing design, GD&T, drawing specifications, Siemens NX, PLM (SMARAGD / Teamcenter). Basic knowledge of transmission components and CAE simulation. Tool & die experience and German language skills are a plus.

Education : B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical / Automotive / Production (Casting foundry) Overall Experience : Minimum 6 years of experience (Automotive Experience : minimum 5 years in OEM or Tier 1)

Subject Knowledge :

Casting, forging, Sheetmetal components).

Modeling Software : Siemens NX 5 years minimum OR Catia / Pro-E experience of 7 years minimum (Modules : Solid Modelling, Sheet Metal, Tubing / Mechanical routing, Drafting, CAE (Structural))

PLM tool : Experience in Siemens Teamcenter or similar
