Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and validate mechanical system designs and calculations for HVAC, water supply, and fire protection in accordance with project requirements and global codes.
- Develop and review technical drawings, schematics, equipment schedules, and design documentation.
- Select and specify mechanical equipment based on project analysis, performance data, and regulatory standards.
- Liaise with architectural, structural, and other MEP disciplines for effective spatial coordination and integrated system design.
- Lead the preparation of BOQs, technical submittals, and support procurement and construction documentation.
- Support clash detection, resolve technical queries (RFIs), and contribute to internal design reviews and project milestones.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, contribute to process improvements, and mentor junior team members.
Technical / Must-Have Skills
Advanced proficiency in mechanical design (HVAC, WS / PL, fire protection) and use of AutoCAD; working knowledge of Revit.Strong command of international standards / codes (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, NFPA, IPC) and familiarity with Gulf / US / UK practices.Proficient in engineering tools (such as HAP, Elite Fire, TRACE, MS Excel-based design templates).Strong documentation, analytical, and technical communication skills.Demonstrated coordination with cross-functional teams and adaptability to new tools.Education
