We’re now looking for a Senior Backend Developer with deep technical expertise and a builder’s mindset — someone who has scaled systems from scratch, thrives in a startup environment, and cares about shipping secure, reliable products that truly matter.
Role Overview
You will design, build, and maintain the backbone of our telehealth applications. This role demands sharp technical judgment, experience architecting modern backends, and a strong focus on scalability, security, and compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2, PII).
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs .
- Architect and optimize solutions using Node.js, Nest.js, TypeScript, and Express .
- Own deployment environments on AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, IAM).
- Integrate Firebase for authentication, cloud functions, and real-time data.
- Ensure systems meet high standards of security, reliability, and compliance for healthcare data.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, frontend engineers, and QA to deliver end-to-end features.
- Set up monitoring, logging, and CI / CD pipelines to keep systems stable at scale.
Requirements
5+ years of experience as a Backend Developer / Senior Software Engineer.Expert in Node.js, Nest.js, TypeScript, and Express .Strong knowledge of backend architecture (microservices, REST, GraphQL, serverless).Hands-on with AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM).Experience managing deployment environments and CI / CD pipelines .Experienced with Firebase services (auth, Firestore, cloud functions) as well as PostgreSQL.Solid grasp of security and compliance best practices (HIPAA, SOC 2, GDPR, PII).Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize for scale and performance .Clear communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, startup environment.Nice to Have
Previous experience in telehealth / healthtech .Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes .Familiarity with monitoring tools (Sentry).What We Offer
