Job Summary :
The MYP English Teacher will deliver English Language and Literature instruction within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) framework. The role focuses on fostering students' intellectual, personal, emotional, and social development through rigorous and engaging lessons.
Key Responsibilities :
- English Language & Literature : Teach reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills; guide students in literary analysis of diverse texts.
- Curriculum Development : Design and deliver lessons aligned with the MYP English curriculum; integrate global contexts and interdisciplinary connections.
- Assessment & Feedback : Conduct formative and summative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support student growth.
- Interdisciplinary Teaching : Collaborate with teachers from other subjects to create integrated learning experiences.
- Global Contexts : Connect English studies to real-world issues and encourage exploration of diverse perspectives.
- Approaches to Learning (ATL) : Embed IB ATL skills—critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and self-management—into lessons.
- Service Learning : Integrate projects that allow students to apply English skills in meaningful community activities.
