Position : Backend Engineer

Employment type : Contract for 12 months (subjected to possible extension)

(Payroll and Compliance to be managed by the client)

Working Days : Monday to Friday

Mode of work : Remote

Shift time : 12 : 30 PM to 9 : 30 PM IST

Experience : 7 years+

Skills : Node.js, Express.js, NestJS, Git, Docker, AWS / Azure / GCP, CI / CD Pipelines, Docker / Kubernetes

Backend Engineer

We are looking for a talented Backend Engineer who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and has a strong passion for building scalable, reliable, and innovative software solutions.

What You’ll Bring (Must-Haves)

  • Backend Development : Strong hands-on experience with Node.js (Express.js / NestJS), designing and maintaining scalable APIs and microservices.
  • Databases : Proficiency with SQL databases.
  • CI / CD Pipelines : Practical experience setting up and managing CI / CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) for automated build, test, and deployment.
  • Version Control : Proficiency with Git and collaborative development workflows.
  • Testing & Quality : Familiarity with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Jest, PyTest) to ensure maintainable and bug-free code.
  • Cloud Deployment : Experience deploying and monitoring applications in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
  • Collaboration Skills : Comfortable working in cross-functional, remote teams using tools like Jira, Confluence, or similar.

Good-to-Have

  • Serverless Experience : Familiarity with AWS Lambda, API Gateway, or equivalent serverless frameworks.
  • AI Integration : Exposure to Generative AI tools and APIs (OpenAI, LangChain, etc.) and interest in applying AI / ML to improve workflows.
  • DevOps Mindset : Experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Full-Stack Awareness : Basic knowledge of frontend technologies (React, TypeScript) to collaborate with UI engineers effectively.

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend services and APIs.
  • Build and optimize database schemas and queries for scalability and performance.
  • Set up and manage CI / CD pipelines to ensure smooth and reliable deployments.
  • Collaborate with frontend engineers to integrate APIs seamlessly with user interfaces.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and code reviews with a fully remote team.
