Job descriptionAny B.Tech / BE graduate Minimum 3+ years of experience into IT system administration A working knowledge of IT operating systems, particularly Windows, IOS Hands on experience of installing IT hardware and software Strong communication skills Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role Experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management Experience with Firewall management Handling LAN / WAN networks an coordinating with ISPs Working with vendors for purchasing / renting laptops and desktops. Knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup / recovery Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
Responsibilities (not exhaustive)
- Install and configure software and hardware
- Manage network servers and technology tools
- Set up accounts and workstations
- Monitor performance and maintain systems according to requirements
- Troubleshoot issues and outages
- Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies
- Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies
- Maintain all local software and hardware licensing to ensure conformance.
- Support determination of local and customer needs for yearly budgeting process and request for proposal processes.
