Senior Engineer - Energy Analysis

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Conduct performance analysis of operational Solar PV plants.

Develop and analyze meteorological datasets for use in simulation software.

Perform energy yield assessments , downtime analysis, and statistical evaluation of long-term yields.

Lead energy and capacity optimisation for hybrid projects with BESS integration .

Model and simulate PV, Wind, and BESS systems for optimisation and performance improvements.

Carry out techno-commercial assessments of PV modules, inverters, converters, and battery systems.

Analyze SCADA and data logger records for performance insights.

Use Python, Excel, VBA to automate data analysis and reporting.

Review plant layouts and designs (tilt-pitch optimisation, DC overload analysis, etc.).

Support due diligence and risk assessments of renewable energy projects.

Review and evaluate performance ratio test procedures for plant acceptance.

Stay updated with emerging renewable technologies and share insights internally.

Provide technical support for business development activities .

Undertake domestic and international site visits as required.

Candidate Profile

Qualification : BE / BTech in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering; Master’s in Energy / Data Analysis preferred.

Experience : Minimum 5 years in renewable energy performance analysis .

Strong expertise in Solar PV performance assessment and BESS integration .

Proficiency with simulation tools (PVsyst, SAM, Helioscope, PVcase, etc.).

Hands-on experience with Python, Excel, VBA for data analytics and automation.

Knowledge of techno-commercial assessments, due diligence, and risk analysis .

Familiarity with SCADA systems, data loggers, and performance monitoring tools .

Excellent problem-solving, reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
