Job Description

Key Responsibilities :

• Team Leadership and Management :
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of process engineers.
• Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Conduct performance evaluations and identify areas for professional development.
• Process Design and Optimization :
• Design, develop, and optimize chemical manufacturing processes.
• Conduct feasibility studies and process simulations.
• Select and specify equipment and instrumentation for chemical production facilities.
• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for chemical production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during chemical manufacturing processes.
• Safety and Compliance :
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
• Develop and implement safety procedures for individuals working with dangerous chemicals.
• Conduct risk assessments and process simulations.
• Ensure processes are designed to minimize waste and environmental impact.
• Collaboration and Communication :
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality assurance, and maintenance.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and external vendors.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on process performance and improvements.
• Process Improvement and Innovation :
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
• Implement best practices in process engineering, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
• Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in chemical engineering and process optimization.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Project Management :
• Manage project timelines and budgets for process engineering projects.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Monitor and track project progress and performance.
