Position : AI Tutor – Physics Specialist
Type : Full-time
Compensation : $90,000–$200,000 / year
Location : Palo Alto, CA (in-office, 5 days per week) or Remote
Commitment : 9 : 00am–5 : 30pm PST during training, then aligned with your local timezone
Role Responsibilities
- Use proprietary software to label, annotate, and evaluate physics-related data.
- Provide expert solutions and insights across subfields such as condensed matter, quantum mechanics, and computational physics.
- Collaborate with technical teams to develop new AI training tasks and improve data workflows.
- Refine and enhance annotation tools for efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze complex physical problems and provide structured, data-driven feedback to improve AI reasoning.
- Adapt to evolving task instructions while maintaining precision and consistency.
Qualifications
Must-Have
Master's degree or PhD in Physics or a closely related field.Expertise in areas such as condensed matter physics, high energy physics, nuclear physics, quantum computing, computational physics, or biophysics.Strong ability to read and write in both professional and informal English.Skilled in navigating academic databases, research tools, and technical resources.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.Capable of independent judgment and decision-making with limited information.Deep enthusiasm for innovation and scientific advancement.Preferred
Multiple publications or patents demonstrating advanced expertise in physics, preferably with first-author papers in peer-reviewed journals.Teaching or tutoring experience at the university or professional level.Prior experience in AI training, technical writing, or data annotation.Demonstrated ability to communicate complex scientific ideas clearly.Compensation & Legal
