Job Description : Lean Six Sigma Specialist

Department : Operations / Business Excellence

Location : Zirakpur, Mohali

I. Role Summary

The Lean Six Sigma Specialist will be the organizational expert in continuous process improvement, responsible for defining, establishing, and monitoring Key Result Areas (KRAs) across all major operational functions. This role will use Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodologies to drive significant improvements in quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness, directly aligning daily operations with strategic business goals.

II. Key Responsibilities

1. KRA Definition and Strategic Alignment

• Establish Operational KRAs : Define, document, and establish quantifiable Key Result Areas (KRAs) for critical business processes (e.g., procurement, production, customer support, logistics).
• Performance Baselines : Utilize statistical tools and data analysis (e.g., Process Capability Analysis) to establish accurate baseline performance metrics before initiating improvement projects.
• Goal Alignment : Ensure all defined KRAs are directly linked to the company's annual operating plan and long-term strategic objectives (e.g., Net Promoter Score, Cost per Unit, Service Level Agreements).

III. Required Qualifications and Skills

Category Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification is mandatory; Black Belt is highly preferred.

Education Bachelors degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Business, or a quantitative field.

Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in a dedicated Continuous Improvement, Process Engineering, or Operational Excellence role.

Technical Proficiency Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab), process mapping tools (e.g., Visio), and advanced Microsoft Excel.

Core Competencies Strong analytical and data interpretation skills, proven project management capabilities, and excellent verbal / written communication.

IV. Performance Key Result Areas (Specialist KRAs)

The performance of the Lean Six Sigma Specialist will be evaluated based on the following key metrics :
