Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Test Engineer specialising in Power Electronics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing, validating, and troubleshooting hardware components for power electronics systems, ensuring performance, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for power electronics products (UPS systems, chargers, adapters, smart power devices).
- Perform functional, reliability, performance, and stress testing on prototypes and production units.
- Build automation frameworks in Python for regression, system validation, and long-duration tests.
- Automate data collection, logging, and analysis for power quality, thermal behaviour, and battery performance.
- Validate firmware–hardware integration, including edge cases and fault scenarios.
- Conduct compliance pre-checks (safety, EMI / EMC, surge protection) and support certification testing.
- Own the test infrastructure – equipment setup, calibration, automation rigs.
- Document defects clearly, work with engineers to reproduce / debug issues, and drive resolutions.
- Ensure products meet quality, reliability, and certification standards before release.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related fieldAround 4+ years of experience in hardware testing for power electronics.Hands-on experience with testing tools such as oscilloscopes, power analysers, and multimeters .Strong understanding of power electronics principles, including switching devices, circuit design, and thermal management.Familiarity with test automation tools and scripting languages is a must.Knowledge of testing processes and tools like Jira.Knowledge of safety and compliance standards in power electronics.
