Job Summary :
We are seeking an experienced Windows Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of hands-on experience managing and supporting Windows server environments in a large-scale, enterprise setting. This role is responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and optimization of Windows servers and related infrastructure, ensuring high availability, security, and performance.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, configure, and maintain Windows Server operating systems (2012 / 2016 / 2019 / 2022) and related components.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
- Perform regular system monitoring, verify the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues in a timely manner.
- Implement and maintain security policies, including patch management, antivirus, and vulnerability remediation.
- Manage backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Automate routine tasks using PowerShell or other scripting tools.
- Collaborate with other IT teams to support application deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
- Maintain documentation related to system configuration, processes, and service records.
- Participate in on-call rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
Required Skills & Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 8 years of experience as a Windows Administrator in an enterprise environment.Strong expertise in Windows Server administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file / print services.Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation.Solid understanding of networking concepts (TCP / IP, firewalls, VPNs).Experience with backup and disaster recovery solutions.Familiarity with monitoring tools and system performance tuning.Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Strong communication and documentation skills.Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified : Windows Server, MCSE, MCSA) are a plus.Preferred Qualifications :
Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS) and hybrid environments.Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards (e.g., SOX, HIPAA).Experience with SCCM, WSUS, or similar management tools.Exposure to Linux / Unix environments is a plus.(ref : hirist.tech)
