Job Title : SAP APO PPDS Lead

Role Overview :

We are seeking an experienced SAP APO PPDS Lead to architect, design, and implement advanced Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling (PPDS) solutions. The ideal candidate will drive end-to-end supply chain planning transformations, lead APO PPDS implementations, and mentor junior team members.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Lead design, implementation, and optimization of SAP APO PPDS solutions.
  • Conduct workshops with business and IT stakeholders to define requirements and solution approaches.
  • Architect production planning and scheduling solutions, ensuring seamless integration between APO, ERP (ECC / S4), and other supply chain modules.
  • Configure and optimize APO PPDS processes, including heuristics, optimizers, DS planning boards, and planning tables.
  • Develop and deliver functional specifications for customizations and enhancements.
  • Support and guide junior APO PPDS consultants to build internal expertise.
  • Contribute to building assets, accelerators, and reusable frameworks to improve delivery efficiency and reduce cost.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in SAP APO PPDS .
  • Hands-on experience in at least 2 full lifecycle end-to-end APO PPDS implementations (not just rollouts).
  • Exposure to SAP S / 4HANA or Advanced Planning is highly desirable.
  • SAP certification is an added advantage.
  • Deep process understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain Planning (SCOR model knowledge preferred).
  • Domain expertise in at least two industries such as CPG, Chemicals, Automotive, Life Sciences, etc.

    • Technical Expertise :

  • Strong knowledge of all SAP APO modules, with deep expertise in PPDS .
  • Configuration experience in :
  • PPDS Heuristics (Production Planning & Detailed Scheduling)
  • PPDS Optimizer including profile settings
  • Block Planning / Campaign Planning
  • Safety Stock Planning and Lead Time Scenarios
  • Setup Groups and Setup Matrix
  • Proficiency in integration via CIF (Core Interface) and ability to handle complex functional logic / customizations.
  • Good understanding of ECC Master Data (MRP tabs, routing, recipes) and MRP processes (MRP in ECC or MRP Live in S / 4).
  • Experience in modeling with secondary resources and characteristic-dependent planning (CDP) or variant configuration.
