Chithriya is building India's first phygital craft ecosystem, blending heritage, storytelling, and immersive digital design to bring Indian crafts to global audiences. Our mission is to empower artisans, revive traditional crafts, and connect them with modern homes worldwide through sustainability, creativity, and innovation.

We are seeking a Creative Designer who can combine graphic design, video editing, social media storytelling, and AI-powered tools to help us craft high-impact visuals for digital platforms.

Role Overview

As a Creative Designer at Chithriya, you will :

  • Design eye-catching thumbnails, social media posts, and digital campaigns that align with our brand.
  • Edit and produce short-form videos (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, TikTok-style content) that highlight our artisans and crafts.
  • Use AI tools & prompts (MidJourney, Firefly, Runway, Canva AI, ChatGPT, etc.) to generate design concepts, content variations, and video effects.
  • Bring strong storytelling skills to every project, ensuring our visuals engage audiences and reflect our brand voice.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to brainstorm campaign ideas and seasonal narratives.
  • Ensure brand consistency by applying Chithriya's design system and guidelines across all assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create graphic designs for thumbnails, banners, and posts.
  • Develop short video edits optimized for social platforms.
  • Apply AI prompt engineering for creative mockups, design iterations, and video enhancements.
  • Research design trends and apply them in a way that suits craft, heritage, and sustainability storytelling.
  • Support storytelling campaigns with visual moodboards, storyboards, and campaign assets.

    • Requirements

  • Proven experience in graphic design & video editing (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, Premiere Pro / Final Cut, After Effects).
  • Familiarity with AI prompt writing & generative tools for design and video (MidJourney, Firefly, Runway, Canva AI, ChatGPT).
  • Strong sense of visual storytelling and social media design trends (Instagram, YouTube, Pinterest, Threads).
  • Ability to create high-engagement thumbnails and short videos.
  • Excellent attention to detail, creativity, and independence in execution.
  • Passion for heritage, crafts, or sustainability is a big plus.
