Role Overview :
We are looking for an
Electrical Engineer
with hands-on experience in designing and testing electrical and electronic systems for laboratory instruments. The candidate will be responsible for the identify requirements, design, integration, and testing of electrical systems in lab instruments such as
laboratory ovens, incubators, water baths, BOD analyzers, autoclaves, Ultrasonicators and refrigerators .
The ideal candidate will combine strong circuit design skills with knowledge of sensors and embedded control systems to deliver reliable, standards-compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
Circuit & Hardware Design :
Design and implement electrical circuits for laboratory instruments.
Integrate sensors (temperature, pressure, humidity, etc.) and controllers into instrument systems.
Recommend alternative sensors, controllers, and electronic components for optimal performance and cost-efficiency.
Embedded Control Systems :
Develop embedded control logic for devices.
Interface microcontrollers, displays, and other control hardware with sensors and actuators.
Testing & Validation :
Conduct functional and safety testing of electrical systems.
Verify designs against performance specifications and laboratory standards.
Troubleshoot issues and implement improvements.
Standards Compliance :
Ensure all designs adhere to
international and national electrical safety standards .
Document design, testing, and validation processes.
Collaboration :
Work with mechanical engineers and software / firmware teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
Provide input on material selection, design constraints, and instrumentation requirements.
Required Skills & Expertise :
Strong understanding of
power systems, transducers, sensors (temperature, pressure, humidity) , and
control hardware design .
Experience with
laboratory equipment electronics
(oven, incubator, BOD, autoclave, water bath, refrigerators, etc.).
Circuit design, system integration, and embedded system design .
S uggest alternate components
for cost optimization, performance improvement, or availability.
T esting, Validation & troubleshooting, and commissioning electrical systems .
Industry standards
(IEC, ISO, or relevant lab equipment standards).
Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in
Electrical / Electronics Engineering .
Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or laboratory instrument electronics.
Experience in
embedded systems, microcontrollers, and instrumentation design .
Knowledge of
PCB design, firmware integration, transducer and sensor technologies
