Working Hours : 9 : 00 AM – 6 : 00 PM EST

Position Overview

The Credit Assistant will support the Credit Team in loan package distribution, lender and third-party correspondence, and overall deal execution support. This role involves regular communication with bankers, appraisers, legal counsel, and other external stakeholders, and requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear professional written communication.

The ideal candidate will have 1–2 years of experience in credit or lending-related roles, preferably with exposure to real estate finance, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, transaction-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Loan Package Preparation & Distribution

Assemble, review, and distribute loan packages to banks, lenders, and capital partners.

Ensure all credit and deal documentation is complete, accurate, and properly formatted prior to submission.

Track loan package distribution and manage follow-ups with lenders and internal stakeholders.

Lender & Third-Party Coordination

Draft and send professional correspondence to bankers, appraisers, legal counsel, and other third-party vendors.

Coordinate document requests, engagement letters, and timelines with external parties.

Act as a point of contact for routine lender and third-party communications on behalf of the credit team.

Credit & Deal Execution Support

Provide administrative and execution support for active credit and lending transactions.

Assist with organizing credit memos, underwriting materials, and lender due diligence requests.

Maintain deal pipelines, transaction trackers, and internal reporting tools.

Support coordination between credit, underwriting, asset management, and legal teams.

Documentation & Compliance

Maintain organized electronic deal files and credit documentation.

Ensure confidentiality and proper handling of sensitive financial and borrower information.

Assist in updating internal credit templates, trackers, and standardized correspondence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

1–2 years of experience in a credit, lending, banking, or finance-related role.

Exposure to real estate finance, commercial lending, or private credit preferred.

Experience with loan documentation, credit packages, and lender-facing communication.

Strong professional writing and email drafting skills.

Excellent organizational skills with high attention to detail.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with real estate credit, commercial lending, or private debt structures.

Experience coordinating with appraisers, legal counsel, and third-party due diligence providers.

Prior experience supporting deal execution or underwriting teams.
