Travel and event coordination : The EA coordinates all aspects of the CEO's travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and detailed itineraries. They also plan and manage company events, meetings, and retreats.
Document and report preparation : This includes preparing, editing, and formatting confidential correspondence, presentations, reports, and memos for the CEO and senior leadership.
Confidentiality and discretion : A high level of integrity and discretion is required to handle sensitive information related to personnel, finances, and corporate strategy.
Project management : The EA often manages and oversees special projects and initiatives on behalf of the CEO, tracking progress and following up on action items to ensure company priorities are met.
Liaison activities : The EA acts as a bridge for smooth communication between the CEO and internal teams, the board of directors, and external stakeholders.
Essential skills and qualifications
Experience : Most positions require a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar administrative or executive support role, preferably supporting C-level executives.
Education : A bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, or a related field is often preferred, though it is not always a strict requirement, as experience can be prioritized.
Exceptional organizational skills : The ability to multitask, manage multiple concurrent projects, and maintain meticulous attention to detail is critical for success.
