Description
- The Core Apps Engineering team, within the ‘End User Computing’ division, is responsible for the packaging, maintenance, and ownership of several core desktop solutions, including Chrome, Edge, .NET Framework, Dell Display Manager, etc. The team loosely follows the Spotify Agile model and is structured into delivery teams (squads) that are each accountable for a specific technology stack.
- The Core Apps Engineer is responsible for designing, documenting and delivery of the applications which they own, supporting and managing them in a centralized and automated way.

Design and architect software deployment solutions for the applications owned on both physical and virtual platforms. Expert in using both Intune and Config Manager (SCCM) for application deploymentEnterprise wide, configuration management for owned products and servicesDefine and create automated and manual testing proceduresAnalyze user requirementsCreate various type of documents (design and architecture, KB articles for L2 and L1 teams)Act as L3 for production issuesLiaise with peers in other infrastructure teams to ensure designs fit their needsConstantly collaborate with product and operations team to ensure a smooth and clean transition from Engineering to Production in agreement with the requirements.Your skills and experience
Desktop Engineering experience (design, configure, deploy software, troubleshoot) using Intune and Config Manager (SCCM) – enterprise level :Windows 10 and Windows 11 - on both physical and virtual platformsPackaging distribution using SCCM and IntunePatch management using SCCM and IntunePackaging (.msi, .msix etc), configuration and global deployment in large organizationsCore Windows technologies (Entra ID knowledge, AD knowledge, GPOs etc)Admin scripting : PowerShell, VBScript and Batch filesHow we’ll support you
