Location- Delhi NCR(Preffered)

Work arrangement - On-site, travel required as per client needs.

About Industrial and Infrastructure Development Advisory (IIDA) :

The Industrial and Infrastructure Development Advisory (IIDA) practice of KPMG in India has been advising and assisting India’s development objective by seamlessly bridging the gap between Government’s vision and execution, steering impactful initiatives across the spectrum of infrastructure, industrial and Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) development as well as tourism, leisure, and sports.

Our multidisciplinary approach blends cutting-edge strategies, regulatory acumen, and global best practices. Our team of multi-domain experts has successfully delivered national priority strategic engagements, providing guidance and insights to central and state governments, Public Sector Units (PSUs), and multilateral institutions.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Lead consulting engagements in the ports sector , including strategy development, feasibility studies, and transaction advisory for government clients.
  • Provide expert guidance on logistics infrastructure planning and contribute to projects in related sectors such as roads, urban transport, and aviation.
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle – from conceptualization to implementation – ensuring compliance with government policies and PPP frameworks.
  • Collaborate with senior government stakeholders, industry bodies, and private partners to drive infrastructure development initiatives.
  • Drive key accounts and client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and engagement.
  • Recommend innovative solutions and strategies to clients based on emerging industry trends.
  • Network with industry professionals and stakeholders to gather insights and perspectives on sector performance.
  • Write comprehensive reports and create detailed presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely progress and completion.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks proactively.
  • Lead and manage teams effectively, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Travel as required to meet business needs and client requirements.

Qualifications :

  • Postgraduate degree from a premier institute preferred with a strong academic background.
  • Experience in ports & logistics consulting
  • Experience in port sector is a must and additional experience in logistics or other sector like roads / urban transport / aviation etc will be good.
  • 12+years of relevant experience working on assignments with various Government clients and multi-lateral clients.
  • Strong networking skills with internal and external stakeholders, industry professionals, and the ability to stay updated on sector performance in India and globally.
  • Proficiency in report writing, Excel, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, relationship-building, presentation, and negotiation skills.
