About The Opportunity

Healthcare — Primary Care & Ayurvedic Clinical Services operating an on-site clinic and community health outreach in Kalwan, Maharashtra. We deliver integrated Ayurvedic patient care, emergency stabilization, and preventive health programs to local communities. This Resident Medical Officer role is focused on hands-on clinical delivery and patient management across ambulatory and inpatient settings.

Primary job title (standardized) : Resident Medical Officer (BAMS)

Role & Responsibilities

  • Provide on-site clinical care to outpatients and inpatients : history-taking, physical exam, diagnosis, and Ayurvedic treatment planning.
  • Manage emergency cases and initial stabilization; perform basic life support and coordinate referrals to tertiary centers as needed.
  • Prescribe and administer Ayurvedic therapies, supervise minor procedures, and monitor treatment response and adverse events.
  • Maintain accurate medical records, complete admissions / discharge summaries, and update electronic or paper-based patient files timely.
  • Lead patient counselling and community health education initiatives focused on preventive care, lifestyle modification, and medication adherence.
  • Collaborate with nursing and allied staff to ensure protocol-driven, high-quality clinical workflows and infection control standards.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Must-Have
  • BAMS degree from a recognized institution and active registration with the State Ayurvedic / CCIM council.
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; experience handling emergency stabilization in a clinical setting.
  • 1+ years clinical experience in outpatient / inpatient care or internships with documented patient management exposure.
  • Strong documentation skills; comfortable using EMR or structured paper records; fluency in Marathi / Hindi and working knowledge of English.
  • Preferred
  • Experience in community health, primary care clinics, or hospital RMO duties in rural / semirural settings.
  • Certifications in ACLS, emergency medicine courses, or prior exposure to integrative medicine protocols.
