Key Responsibilities :
Leading the design process of YAJY menswear collections from concept to production, ensuring innovative, trend-forward, and market-relevant designs.
Developing sketches, technical drawings, tech packs, selecting fabrics and materials.
Collaborating with a design team and other departments to refine designs, oversee prototype development, and ensure final product quality and brand alignment.
Keeping updated on contemporary occasional menswear trends and translating these into commercially viable collections.
Managing fittings, sourcing materials, and working with production teams to realize designs carefully.
Showing strong leadership in creative vision, problem-solving, and team collaboration within the menswear category.
Experience :
Minimum 2 years in menswear design, with an emphasis on garment construction, fabric selection, and trend application.
Proven success in creating and delivering menswear collections that aligns with our brand aesthetics.
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including production, merchandising, and marketing.
Leadership experience guiding junior designers or managing design projects is highly valued.
Skills :
Strong proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD.
Deep knowledge of fabrics, textiles, garment construction, and embellishment techniques specific to menswear.
Fashion trend analysis and the ability to translate trends into commercially viable designs.
Technical skills in pattern making, sewing, and technical drawing.
Excellent communication, project management, and team leadership capabilities.
Educational qualifications :
Bachelor's degree or higher in fashion design or a related field. Experience with Groom's wear or specialized segments within menswear.
