We are seeking an experienced Operations Lead to lead and oversee our compliance management and legal operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a team of lawyers, ensuring seamless implementation of compliance frameworks, and maintaining high standards of legal and regulatory adherence
Key Responsibilities
Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of lawyers and compliance professionals.
- Ensure effective delegation, monitoring, and performance management.
- Drive training and development to enhance domain and operational expertise.
Compliance Management
Oversee implementation of compliance management systems across business units.Ensure timely tracking, reporting, and closure of compliance obligations.Liaise with regulators, auditors, and external counsel as required.Develop SOPs, workflows, and escalation protocols for compliance tracking.Legal Operations
Supervise drafting, vetting, and review of contracts, policies, and regulatory filings.Standardize documentation processes to improve efficiency and turnaround time.Ensure adherence to timelines, SLAs, and quality benchmarks in all legal deliverables.Monitor and implement compliance pertaining to SEBI, RBI, IRDAI, and other relevant regulators.Track regulatory updates and ensure proactive adoption of changes.Identify compliance risks and provide solutions to mitigate exposure.Operational Excellence
Deploy technology and automation tools for compliance monitoring and reporting.Implement dashboards and MIS reports for management visibility.Drive continuous process improvement and risk management initiatives.Desired Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of Indian compliance and regulatory frameworks, especially in the financial services sector.Proven track record of managing legal / compliance teams.Excellent understanding of compliance implementation, risk controls, and legal documentation.Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and deadlines.Tech-savvy with exposure to compliance management software or legal-tech platforms.Qualifications & Experience
Mandatory : Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) or Company Secretary (CS).Preferred : Master's (LLM / MBA), or dual qualifications (LLB + CS).7–10 years of relevant experience in legal operations / compliance management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Prior experience in the financial services industry (banking, NBFC, capital markets, insurance, or compliance SaaS / reg-tech) strongly preferred.Location & Reporting
