THE ROLE

Join the Direct Flash Module (DFM) team to help design, develop, and validate the DFM firmware, a core component of Pure Storage's innovative enterprise storage solutions. Your mission is to ensure the exceptional reliability and performance of our internally designed, high-performance, and cost-effective NAND flash storage device. You'll drive the quality of the DFM by focusing on comprehensive validation, particularly for complex exception and error scenarios, and collaborating closely with hardware and system software teams.

What You'll Do

• Develop, implement, and maintain the firmware verification tests for key SSD / NAND features to ensure end-to-end coverage and stability for all DFM releases.
• Design and deliver the FW regression test suite that assesses firmware stability during nightly / weekly runs, ensuring a robust quality gate for regular and milestone releases.
• Investigate and debug complex firmware and hardware issues, creating failure analysis tools and processes to drive root cause identification and continuous improvement.
• Increase development efficiency by enhancing internal automation and continuous integration (CI), streamlining the unit and regression testing pipelines.
• Partner closely with the hardware, system software, and manufacturing teams to align validation efforts with design changes and production requirements.
