Senior Product Manager - Search - E-commerce the Role :
Our client, a leading player in the eCommerce space, is looking for a Senior Product Manager (Search) to lead and enhance the search and discovery experience across their platform.
This role will be pivotal in shaping how millions of customers discover products - ensuring fast, relevant, and personalized results that improve engagement and drive business outcomes. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in building scalable, data-driven search systems and a strong understanding of consumer behavior in digital commerce.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define and own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for the search experience across all platforms (app, web, and voice).
- Lead initiatives to improve search relevance, ranking, personalization, and result quality.
- Partner with engineering and data science teams to design and deliver scalable search and discovery solutions.
- Use data, insights, and experimentation to drive continuous improvement in search metrics such as CTR, conversion, and engagement.
- Understand user intent, search behavior, and context to create intuitive, frictionless product discovery.
- Work closely with design, category, SEO, and marketing teams to align business goals and optimize the end-to-end search journey.
- Stay current with emerging trends in AI, NLP, and ML to drive innovation in search and discovery.
What We're Looking For :
5-10 years of experience, with at least 4+ years in product management focusing on search, discovery, or recommendation systems in an eCommerce or consumer-tech setup.Deep understanding of search algorithms, ranking models, and information retrieval systems.Proven experience in driving measurable improvements through A / B testing, analytics, and user research.Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills.Technical fluency and comfort collaborating with engineering and data science teams.Experience with experimentation platforms and data analytics tools.(ref : iimjobs.com)
