Manager- Learning & Development (L&D) for one of the Leading Hospital Chain in Bangalore.

Position : Manager- Learning & Development (L&D)

Location : Bengaluru

Experience : Around 15-20 years of experience in Learning & Development (L&D) preferably from Aviation / Hotel / Hospital Industry.

Purpose of the Job :

The primary objective is to drive capability-building initiatives that enhance employee performance, leadership development, and overall organizational growth. This role ensures that training programs are aligned with the organization mission, compliance standards, and evolving industry needs, fostering a culture of continuous learning and excellence in patient care.

Involves creating, implementing, and evaluating comprehensive training programs that covers behavioral, and leadership development needs. Additionally, to collaborates closely with hospital leadership, HR, department heads, and external training partners to deliver impactful learning solutions that drive employee engagement, retention, and overall hospital performance.

By leveraging innovative learning methodologies, digital tools, and competency-based training, this role ensures that the workforce remains skilled, adaptable, and future-ready in a rapidly evolving industry.

Roles & & Development Strategy

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive L&D strategy aligned with business objectives, patient care standards, and industry trends.
  • Establish a structured learning roadmap for different employee levels, including frontline staff, support staff, and leadership teams.
  • Align training programs with hospital accreditation requirements (NABH, etc.).
  • Training Program Design & Execution

  • Design and deliver behavioral, and leadership training programs for employees across all levels.
  • Introduce blended learning methodologies, including e-learning, simulations, and hands-on workshops.
  • Implement onboarding behaviour training programs for new employees to ensure smooth integration.
  • Leadership Development

  • Design and implement leadership development programs for senior management, department heads, and high-potential employees.
  • Facilitate executive coaching programs for emerging and existing leaders.
  • Training Effectiveness & Impact Measurement

  • Establish training assessment metrics and conduct post-training evaluations to measure impact.
  • Gather feedback from participants and stakeholders to improve program effectiveness.
  • Analyze training ROI and business impact to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
  • Employee Engagement & Performance Enhancement

  • Identify skill gaps and development needs through surveys, performance evaluations, and feedback.
  • Partner with HR to integrate learning initiatives with performance management.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and employee engagement.
  • Compliance & Accreditation Support

  • Maintain training records and documentation for audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Collaborate with hospital quality teams to enhance compliance-based learning.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration & Change Management

  • Work closely with hospital leadership, HR, nursing & medical teams, and all department heads to drive learning initiatives.
  • Engage with external training providers, universities, and healthcare experts for specialized programs.
  • Lead change management initiatives to promote a learning-focused organizational culture.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated with emerging trends in healthcare education and training methodologies.
  • Implement technology-driven learning solutions, such as LMS platforms, and virtual training modules.
  • Budget & Resource Management

  • Develop and manage the L&D budget, ensuring cost-effective training solutions.
  • Optimize resource allocation for in-house and external training programs.
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure quality in outsourced training services.
