Vascular Interventional Radiologist For Caribbean Island

Job descriptionInterpret diagnostic imaging studies such as CT, MRI, Ultrasound, and X-rays relevant to vascular conditions. Evaluate patients pre- and post-procedure, ensuring safe and optimal care outcomes. Participate in emergency on-call rotations as required. Work closely with vascular surgeons, cardiologists, radiologists, and other specialists in integrated patient management. Provide expert guidance on interventional procedures to referring physicians and clinical staff. Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and patient progress accurately and timely. Ensure all procedures follow established clinical protocols, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines . Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives, audits, and training sessions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of interventional radiology advancements and best practices. MBBS / MD degree with specialization in Radiology from a recognized institution. Fellowship or formal training in Interventional Radiology (preferred). Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in vascular interventional radiology. Valid medical license and eligibility for registration in the Caribbean region (support may be provided for credentialing). Proficiency in interpreting diagnostic imaging and performing image-guided interventions. Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and patient management skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Experience with advanced endovascular techniques. Familiarity with hybrid operating rooms and state-of-the-art IR equipment. Commitment to continuous learning and teaching (if applicable). We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated Vascular Interventional Radiologist to join our medical team in the Caribbean region. The ideal candidate will bring strong clinical expertise, advanced interventional radiology skills, and a patient-centered approach to delivering high-quality vascular care. This role involves performing minimally invasive image-guided procedures, managing vascular disorders, and collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical & Procedural Duties
- Perform a wide range of vascular and non-vascular interventional radiology procedures , including :
o Angiography, angioplasty, and stent placement
o Thrombolysis and thrombectomy
o Embolization procedures
o Central venous access
o IVC filter placement and retrieval
o Peripheral vascular interventions
