Core Technical Skills :

• 3-5 years of solid experience in Application Performance Management (APM), SRE, Monitoring Operations, Performance Testing (with keen interest to move to Performance Engineering)
• Thorough understanding of APM concepts and how they apply in real environment / deployments
• Understanding various application architectures and topologies that include thick client, web based, multi-tier, micro-service and service-oriented architectures
• Clear understanding of Key Performance Metrics / Counters / KPIs that affect performance of applications
• Hands on experience with deployment and usage of one or more of following Monitoring tools : Datadog, Grafana, Elastic Stack, AppDynamics, Dynatrace, NewRelic, Riverbed, NetScout, SolarWinds, Zabbix, ManageEngine, NetData, etc.
• Ability to do correlative analysis and troubleshooting
• Big plus : Understanding of TCP / IP fundamentals, network design, protocols, components and their operations
• Big plus : Experience with packet analysis using Wireshark or similar tools
