Mission of the Role
To develop safe, bio-based, and circular chemical solutions for coatings, adhesives, and processing—enabling compostable and recyclable packaging without performance trade-offs .
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop bio-based formulations including natural barrier coatings and renewable adhesives that replace PFAS with safe, compostable alternatives while maintaining high performance and regulatory safety.
2. Innovate circular and recovery-friendly chemistries that integrate seamlessly with pulping processes, ensuring compost-safe formulations aligned with sustainable product lifecycles.
3. Establish and lead pilot lab operations to design, test, and scale solvent-free coating and adhesive systems from lab formulations to production-ready, commercially viable solutions.
4. Ensure food-contact safety and global regulatory compliance by adhering to FDA and EU standards, proactively eliminating hazardous substances from all formulations.
5. Validate product performance through OTR / WVTR and functional tests, benchmarking against plastics and verifying process compatibility on converting and coating lines.
6. Drive IP creation by filing patents for novel chemistries, tracking competitive patents, and safeguarding Pakka’s innovations while fostering strategic partnerships with universities and industry collaborators.
7. Integrate sustainability by assessing cradle-to-cradle impact, quantifying carbon footprint, ensuring low-impact sourcing, and supporting commercialization through case studies, brand collaborations, and internal capability building in green chemistry.

Master’s or Ph.D. degree in one of the following fields :
