Key Responsibilities
Maintenance Strategy & Planning
- Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance vision, strategy, policies, and procedures to improve operational performance
- Support new business initiatives and assess their impact on maintenance activities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule
- Ensure all missed or pending maintenance activities are effectively planned and executed
Operations & Equipment Management
Delegate maintenance tasks and projects effectively within the team based on skill setsSchedule internal and external maintenance work, aiming to maximize planned downtime and minimize unplanned outagesEnsure machine availability by proactively managing dysfunctional machineryOptimize equipment performance to achieve key operational KPIsOversee calibration and maintenance of electro-mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systemsSystems, Compliance & Reporting
Audit and maintain compliance with engineering data systemsManage equipment and systems data storage, ensuring accuracy and standardizationEnsure all maintenance activities are in compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulationsPrepare reports and deliver presentations on maintenance activities, KPIs, and system auditsConduct risk assessments of departmental processes and manage contractor compliance on-siteCost Control & Resource Management
Develop accountability for maintenance material spending and control operational expenditureIdentify required technical skill sets and resources for successful project execution, including coordination with external contractorsPeople Management & Development
Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing maintenance team to meet performance goalsSet departmental KPIs and assess team and individual performanceFoster collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure maintenance strategy complianceProvide training and encourage continuous professional development for the teamBehavioural Profile
