YOUR ROLE : A chance to make the difference.
As a Installer Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, maintaining, and automating the build and packaging ecosystem for our desktop and enterprise products. You will ensure smooth integration between development, QA, and release pipelines, optimizing installer workflows and enabling faster, reliable releases. This role requires a strong mix of scripting, CI / CD, and installer engineering expertise, along with a focus on quality, scalability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain Microsoft installer packages using WiX, NSIS, and MSIX.
- Work with MSI internals, Windows OS, registry, and debugging tools.
- Manage Windows services from within installers.
- Handle localization, reboot scenarios, UAC, file permissions, and code signing.
- Build and manage custom actions, merge modules, and nested / chained MSIs.
- Contribute to license management within the installer.
- Get hands-on with MSIX packaging and Docker-based setups.
- Drive tasks independently while collaborating with global teams.
- Bring strong analytical, triage, and problem-solving skills to every release.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR :
5–7 years experience as a Build Engineer, Setup Engineer, or Release Engineer.Installer Technologies : WiX, NSIS, MSIX, InstallShield.CI / CD Platforms : Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, TeamCity.Scripting & Automation : PowerShell, Python, Bash.Version Control & Artifacts : Git, SVN, Nexus, Artifactory.Build Environments : Windows (primary), with exposure to Linux / macOS builds a plus.Project Management : Agile workflows, Jira integration for build and release tracking.
