Sourcing & QC Manager

Job description2–5 years in jewelry sourcing / QC (silver or gold). Strong eye for finish and setting quality; comfort reading CAD / spec sheets. Vendor management chops : rates, MOQs, TATs, penalties. Solid spreadsheet discipline; simple trackers that vendors actually follow. Clear communication in English / Hindi.

Location : Remote—India, with occasional vendor visits (as needed)
Start : ASAP (soft launch 18 Oct)
What you’ll handle
- Vendor sourcing & negotiation : identify reliable 92.5 silver manufacturers, compare MOQs, lead times, and plating / finishing quality, lock rates and SLAs.
- Production coordination : convert designs / CAD to POs, track WIP, follow up on timelines, ensure correct weights, sizes, and stone specs.
- Quality control (incoming & pre-dispatch) : verify 925 stamp / hallmark docs, finish, solder joints, prongs / stone settings, polish, plating thickness, clasps / locks, and chain strength.
- Defect management : maintain rejection logs, run root-cause with vendors, enforce rework / credit notes.
- Compliance & documentation : coordinate BIS / hallmarking center paperwork; keep spec sheets, COAs, and batch photos organized.
- Costing & margins : track landed cost vs target margin; flag variances early.
- Packaging handoff : ensure each SKU passes QC checklist before it’s cleared for photography / dispatch.
