Business Analyst – SharePoint Migration & Integration Project
Zencon Group Inc., a Microsoft Partner specializing in Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, and SharePoint modernization, is seeking an experienced Business Analyst (BA) to support a large-scale SharePoint migration.
The BA will work closely with the client’s business users, technical teams, and project leadership to gather requirements, define information architecture, support data migration planning, and ensure the solution meets user, operational, and compliance needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct requirements gathering sessions and stakeholder interviews to document business needs, workflows, and access requirements.
- Analyze the current document management structure on legacy file shares and identify files eligible for migration.
- Define and document the SharePoint taxonomy, metadata, and folder hierarchy aligned with LASMNY’s office and practice group structure.
- Collaborate with SharePoint developers to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Support data mapping and validation for case-related documents being migrated to SharePoint.
- Assist with LegalServer integration requirements , including metadata synchronization and document access models.
- Develop business process documentation , standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user guides.
- Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT) , capture feedback, and track resolution of refinements.
- Lead or co-facilitate end-user training sessions and produce step-by-step training materials.
- Ensure all documentation aligns with compliance, security, and Legal Services Corporation (LSC) standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in IT or digital transformation projects.Strong background in Microsoft SharePoint Online , Microsoft 365, and document management systems.Demonstrated ability to analyze workflows, permissions, and metadata structures .Experience gathering requirements for system integration projects (e.G., APIs, third-party tools).Excellent documentation skills – ability to create process flows, BRDs, and user manuals.Proficiency with Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, and Power BI for reporting and visualization.Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, especially with non-technical users.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with LegalServer or other legal case management systems.Prior experience working with nonprofit or public-sector clients .Microsoft certifications (e.G., Power Platform Fundamentals, SharePoint Associate) are a plus.
