Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced Guidewire Rating Developer with strong expertise in Guidewire Insurance Suite, particularly in rating engines and rating-related components.

The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in insurance principles, object-oriented programming (OOP), and Guidewire's rating mechanisms, including ratebooks, routines, tables, and parameter sets.

You will work on developing, customizing, and maintaining the Guidewire Rating Engine to meet business requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and maintain rating engines in Guidewire Rating. Implement ratebooks, rating routines, and parameter sets in Guidewire to support policy rating functionality.

Ensure the integration of the Guidewire Rating Engine with other modules such as Product Designer, PCF's, and other data models.

Collaborate with business and functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and maintainable solutions.

Work with Cost Data models and ensure their accurate implementation in the rating engine. Participate in Agile / Scrum development processes, contributing to continuous improvement. Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure high-quality and defect-free ratings functionality.

Review and update the Product Designer and PCF's as needed, ensuring the alignment with the rating functionality. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design, implementation, and configuration documentation.

Assist in troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and providing solutions. Mandatory Skills :

Strong knowledge of insurance products and processes, specifically P&C (Property & Casualty) insurance. Proficiency in Guidewire Rating Engine, including working with Ratebooks, Routines, Tables, and Parameter Sets.

Solid understanding of OOP (Object-Oriented Programming) principles and their application in Guidewire development.

Experience with Guidewire Rating Engine development for Product Designer and PCF's. Familiarity with Data Models, including Cost Data and their integration with the rating engine.

Ability to develop and work with custom business rules and implement them in the rating engine. Desirable Skills :

Experience with DTO-based Rating Framework (Specifically for Commercial Lines).

Knowledge of Workers Compensation and Commercial Lines insurance.

Familiarity with ISO standards and rules for Product / Rating for Personal / Commercial Lines. Education & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

4-8 years of hands-on experience in Guidewire Rating Engine development or related areas. Experience in working with commercial lines insurance products is highly desirable.
