Institutional Lead Analyst – Banking

Location : Fort, Mumbai

Experience Required : 6–8 years in equity research or sector-specific analysis, preferably in the Banking sector ; strong buy-side and industry connections will be an added advantage

Sector Focus : Banking

CTC : Based on candidate's experience and interview performance

Educational Qualification : MBA – Finance or CA / CFA with NISM Capital Markets Certification

Roles & Responsibilities :

Lead and oversee research initiatives with an exclusive focus on the Banking sector .

Conduct in-depth analysis of banking industry trends, regulatory developments (RBI norms, Basel guidelines), credit growth, asset quality, and competitive dynamics.

Build and maintain comprehensive financial models for banks - including historical and projected balance sheets, profit & loss accounts, and cash flow statements - along with DCF or residual income-based valuations, and banking-specific metrics (e.g., NIMs, GNPA / NNPA, ROA, ROE).

Formulate actionable investment recommendations based on rigorous company and sector analysis.

Establish and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients such as asset managers, pension funds, and private equity firms with an interest in banking investments .

Mentor and guide junior analysts in developing deep sectoral knowledge and analytical capabilities specific to the Banking and Financial Services industry .
