• Experience in Heat load calculations of Power electronic, battery cooling and HVAC systems.
• Design & development (2D / 3D) of AC Line, Hoses & Clamping brackets. Expert in CATIA & CREO tool (3D / 2D).
• Knowledge of cooling Components include (radiator, condenser, and electric fan assembly), transmission oil coolers, high and low pressure hose and tube assemblies, electric coolant heaters, valves and pumps.
• Working knowledge of cooling systems and components. Testing Knowledge : Understanding of cooling system and component-level testing.
• Knowledge of Battery Electric vehicle cooling system.
• Cooling components packaging study. Understand vehicle / subsystem functional objectives, interdependencies and study the packaging, serviceability and cost implications.
• Supplier interaction for design and development of cooling system / components and finalization of DVP.
• Design release of proprietary and BTP parts as per customer’s design release process.
• Knowledge of Automotive HVAC System (Compressor, Condenser, Evaporator, TXV etc.) & Battery Cooling (Chiller, Pump etc.)
• Creating duct packaging concept
• Detailed designing of ducts, interface with air vents
• Packaging of HVAC system components in vehicle layout
• Design & development of AC Line, Hoses & Clamping brackets.
• SORs preparation, Technical reviews & Technical assessment.
• Good knowledge of vehicle level, system level and component level testing.
• Should be experience in basic and detailed engineering.
• Good Knowledge of benchmarking.
• Good knowledge of drawing detailing and GD&T.
• Knowledge of DFMEA / DFA / DFM / DFS.
• Basic understanding of PLM / PDM software.
• Familiar with the release process for above aggregates.
• Familiar with engineering bill of material (EBOM).
• Should be conversant with automobile company standards.
• Ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety requirements.
• Must have ability to work effectively within a team environment and be able to perform job responsibilities with little supervision.
• Strong communication skills (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with existing office suite applications (Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace).
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of 1D GT SUITE
