Founding Engineer – Personalised AI Assistants (MCPChats.com)

We believe the future of customer support, sales, and creator engagement lies in AI agents that truly understand context, connect to real data sources, and deliver measurable outcomes . Our platform enables businesses and creators to build, customise, and deploy these agents with ease.

We’re now looking for a Founding Engineer to join our core team and help shape both the product and the company from the ground up.

What You’ll Do Design, build, and scale the agent orchestration engine (LLM pipelines, tool use, safety guardrails).

Develop and maintain MCP connectors to platforms like Shopify, Notion, Discord, Gmail, and others.

Implement RAG pipelines with vector databases to enable accurate and context-rich agents.

Contribute to both backend and frontend systems (Next.js, Node.js, Python).

Collaborate directly with the founder on product direction, architecture decisions, and roadmap .

Establish best practices for security, scalability, and observability in a multi-tenant SaaS.

Qualifications

3–6 years of experience in software engineering (startup or fast-paced product environment preferred).

Strong skills in backend engineering (Node.js or Python) with exposure to APIs and integrations .

Hands-on experience with at least one vector database (pgvector, Weaviate, Pinecone, Mongo Atlas).

Familiarity with LLM frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or similar) and modern RAG approaches.

Good understanding of frontend frameworks (Next.js, React) and UI integration.

Experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and building scalable services.

Strong problem-solving skills, with a bias for shipping and iteration .

Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in an early-stage, high-ownership role .

Bonus Points Prior work on multi-tenant SaaS or agent / AI platforms .

Contributions to open-source projects in AI / LLM space.

Familiarity with the MCP protocol .
