Role Overview :
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in Retail Banking and Digital Banking channels (Mobile Banking, Agency Banking). The ideal candidate will have deep functional expertise in customer onboarding, account opening, and core retail banking processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to drive requirement gathering, solution design, and ensure product alignment with business goals.
Key Responsibilities :
- Work closely with stakeholders to gather and define detailed functional requirements.
- Create Functional Specification Documents (FSD), user stories, and other supporting documentation.
- Translate business needs into clear, concise, and testable requirements.
- Analyze end-to-end functional flows and how they are implemented in the banking application.
- Review and support testing strategies, including regression test suites and defect analysis.
- Provide subject matter expertise on Retail Banking modules, including customer onboarding, account servicing, payments, and loans.
- Collaborate with QA and Dev teams to ensure accurate requirement implementation.
- Identify gaps in product functionality based on customer usage patterns and feedback.
- Mentor and support junior team members in understanding domain-specific processes.
- Track and report project progress, risks, and dependencies in collaboration with internal and client stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience :
5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance) domain.Strong domain knowledge of Retail Banking, particularly in Digital Banking (Mobile and Internet Banking, Agency Banking).Functional understanding of customer onboarding, account opening workflows, and digital servicing.Working knowledge of banking accounting principles, especially related to loans, accounts, and payments.Experience in creating FSDs, BRDs, and other business documentation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in defect triaging and test case review.Ability to work collaboratively across business and technical teams.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proven experience in project tracking, stakeholder engagement, and timely delivery.Nice to Have :
Exposure to regulatory and compliance requirements in Retail Banking.Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar project management platforms.Agile / Scrum experience preferred.(ref : iimjobs.com)
