About Nolwa Studio
Nolwa Studio is a design studio and gallery based in Hyderabad, India. We create collectible objects of art and design by bringing together traditional crafts and contemporary perspectives. Working with Indian craftsmen and global designers, we develop objects that celebrate Indian craftsmanship and engage meaningfully with international audiences.
We’re seeking a sales professional with a strong understanding of the gallery and collector ecosystem to expand Nolwa’s presence in India and globally.
Role overview
This role is focused on sales and client relations with a strong mandate to build, nurture, and expand Nolwa Studio’s collector base, gallery placements, and institutional relationships.
As Manager - Sales & Client Relations, you will work closely with the Founder to develop and implement strategies for collector engagement, gallery outreach, and institutional placements. You will be Nolwa’s representative in the art and design ecosystem — building bridges with galleries, museums, collectors, and cultural platforms while also ensuring the brand is represented with clarity and coherence.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Collector Engagement
Build and maintain strong relationships with collectors, patrons, and art advisors.
Develop and implement collector outreach strategies (1 : 1 engagement, events, presentations).
Manage inbound sales enquiries, nurturing them into meaningful, long-term relationships.
Maintain sales pipelines, targets, and reporting.
Gallery & Institutional Relations
Identify and research galleries and cultural institutions aligned with Nolwa’s vision.
Lead conversations for gallery placements nationally and internationally.
Research and pursue museum acquisition opportunities with curators and departments.
Represent Nolwa at art / design fairs, exhibitions, and cultural gatherings.
Manage the end-to-end client engagement cycle
Brand Support & Representation
Collaborate with the Founder to decide on fairs, awards, and exhibitions for participation.
Work with brand and PR consultants to ensure consistent storytelling and positioning.
What we are looking for
5–7 years of experience in sales, gallery relations, or institutional partnerships.
Strong understanding of the art and collectible design ecosystem; existing gallery / collector networks are an advantage.
Proven track record of closing art sales and securing placements.
Ability to build trusted, long-term relationships with high-value clients and cultural stakeholders.
Excellent communication and presentation skills — confident representing a brand in global contexts.
Appreciation for craftsmanship, collectible design, and the intersection of culture and commerce.
Independent, proactive, and motivated to grow alongside a small, passionate team.
