Manager, Product & Technology

About the Role :

The Manager will lead a team of Data Engineers, SREs, and Operations staff supporting Accounting and Finance Technology platforms. This role is responsible for people management, delivery oversight, and operational excellence, ensuring that financial systems and applications run smoothly, reliably, and in alignment with Finance business needs.

The Manager will focus on day-to-day execution — supporting team members, coordinating priorities, resolving issues, and partnering with others to ensure successful delivery and operations.

What You Will Do :

Team Leadership : Manage a team of engineers and operations staff, providing coaching, feedback, and career development support.

Delivery Oversight : Ensure project deliverables and operational commitments are met on time, with high quality and compliance.

Operational Management : Oversee the smooth running of Accounting and Finance platforms, ensuring adherence to SLAs for availability, reliability, and data accuracy.

Incident & Problem Management : Ensure effective resolution of incidents; coordinate root cause analysis and track corrective actions.

Process Adherence : Ensure the team follows established engineering, SRE, and operational best practices (code reviews, change management, monitoring, compliance).

Resource Allocation : Assign work across the team, balancing project and operational demands.

Reporting : Track and report on team progress, system performance, and operational metrics to senior leadership.

Continuous Improvement : Identify opportunities for process automation, tooling improvements, and efficiency gains.

Required Experience & Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience).

7-10 years of experience in technology roles, with 2–3 years in people management of engineering or operations teams.

Experience managing delivery of technical projects or supporting mission-critical systems.

Familiarity with financial systems, accounting platforms, or financial data pipelines.

Strong understanding of operational practices including incident, problem, and change management.

Solid communication and organizational skills with the ability to partner with both technical teams and business stakeholders.

Must Have Skills :

People Management for a data engineering team, responsible for building scalable data pipelines for financial systems.
