Summary :
The Senior Project Sales Manager is responsible for driving end-to-end sales of digital transformation and IT consulting projects to enterprise clients across multiple geographies.
This role requires a consultative selling approach, deep understanding of enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, SAP, and Oracle, and the ability to manage long, complex sales cycles.
The individual will build and maintain relationships with C-level executives, technology heads, and procurement teams while collaborating with internal technical and delivery teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Sales Strategy & Business Development :
- Lead full sales cycle : from identifying opportunities to closing deals for IT consulting and digital transformation projects.
- Develop and execute sales strategies targeting enterprise clients in diverse markets (India, APAC, Middle East, Europe, North America).
- Identify new market opportunities and build pipelines aligned with company growth objectives.
- Analyze market trends, competitor offerings, and client requirements to inform strategy and solution positioning.
2. Enterprise Solution Selling :
Promote services around Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, and other enterprise solutions.Deliver consultative sales presentations that map client pain points to tailored service offerings.Collaborate with technical teams to design innovative solutions, including pricing, commercial models, and proposals.Participate in RFIs, RFPs, and contract negotiations with enterprise clients.3. Stakeholder Management & Relationship Building :
Build strong, long-term relationships with C-level executives, technology decision-makers, and procurement teams.Serve as a trusted advisor, guiding clients on digital transformation and enterprise IT strategies.Maintain regular engagement with key stakeholders to identify future opportunities and upsell / cross-sell services.4. Sales Execution & Reporting :
Manage pipelines effectively using CRM tools (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).Track and report on sales KPIs, revenue forecasts, deal progress, and market trends.Ensure achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets.Coordinate with delivery teams to ensure smooth handover post-sales closure, ensuring client satisfaction and successful project initiation.5. Thought Leadership & Representation :
Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and partner ecosystems.Position the company as a preferred provider of IT services and digital transformation solutions.Stay updated on emerging technologies, digital trends, and enterprise IT innovations.Required Skills & Qualifications :
Minimum 4 - 8 years of experience in IT services sales, enterprise solution sales, or digital transformation sales.Proven track record selling Salesforce, SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise solutions / services.Experience selling into diverse geographic markets such as India, Middle East, APAC, Europe, or North America.Strong understanding of enterprise IT landscapes, cloud platforms, and service delivery cycles.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with senior stakeholders.Ability to manage long sales cycles independently and close high-value deals.Familiarity with CRM tools for pipeline management, reporting, and forecasting.Business acumen and understanding of commercial models, contract terms, and pricing strategies(ref : iimjobs.com)
