Role Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented SAP Change and Release Management Specialist to oversee transport activities across SAP landscapes and ensure compliance with SDLC governance. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to manage scheduled releases, support SAP ChaRM and SolMan processes, and drive continuous improvements in change management and quality assurance.
Key Responsibilities
Transport & Release Coordination
- Manage transport movement across all SAP landscapes (Development, QA, Production).
- Collaborate with QA, AMS, and SD teams to implement scheduled releases (Monthly, Weekly, Emergency).
- Ensure timely and accurate deployment of changes across environments.
Reporting & Analytics
Generate and distribute weekly / monthly reporting data on transport activities, release status, and change metrics.Maintain dashboards and trackers for release performance and compliance.SAP ChaRM & SolMan Support
Provide support for SAP ChaRM and Solution Manager during project implementations.Ensure adherence to ChaRM processes for AMS and project releases.Handle Customer Service Requests (CSRs) for enhancements and optimizations in ChaRM workflows.SDLC Governance & Compliance
Perform SDLC artifact compliance checks post-deployment, including emergency releases.Manage artifact inspection processes and monitor approval workflows.Coordinate with inspection approval groups, release managers, and change management teams.Ensure timely closure of inspection issues and maintain audit readiness.Quality Gating
Execute quality gating procedures and generate scorecards based on defined quality gate criteria.Communicate gating results to stakeholders and ensure corrective actions are tracked and resolved.Continuous Improvement
Identify and implement improvements in ChaRM and release management processes.Contribute to automation, documentation, and training initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.Qualifications
Minimum 1-3 years relevant proven experience in SAP Change and Release Management, including ChaRM and SolMan.Strong understanding of SDLC processes and compliance frameworks.Excellent coordination and communication skills across technical and business teams.Proficiency in SAP transport tools, reporting systems, and quality assurance methodologies.Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is required.
