Role Summary :
The Director – Global Advocacy leads the organization’s global influence and policy engagement agenda . The role focuses on building visibility, credibility and partnerships with multilateral institutions, government bodies, and education networks to advance the organization’s mission and create enabling conditions for educational innovation and reform.
This is a senior strategic position responsible for shaping and executing the organization’s advocacy roadmap, driving thought leadership and representing the organization in global dialogues on education transformation and workforce development.
Key Responsibilities :
- Define and implement a global advocacy strategy aligned with organizational priorities and mission.
- Build and manage relationships with governments, UN agencies, development funds and global education networks .
- Lead the development of policy briefs, white papers, and position statements on emerging education and workforce themes.
- Represent the organization at international policy forums, roundtables, and summits .
- Collaborate with Academic Relations, Research, and Communications teams to align policy narratives and data-driven insights.
- Design and execute global advocacy campaigns , tracking measurable influence, engagement and visibility outcomes.
- Mentor internal teams to strengthen capability in advocacy, public affairs and strategic communications.
Qualification, Experience, Skills & Attributes :
Master’s degree in Public Policy, International Relations, Education, or a related field .12+ years in advocacy, public policy, or external affairs — ideally within education, development, or international nonprofit sectors.Demonstrated success in policy influence, stakeholder engagement, and campaign leadership .Experience working with or within multilateral or intergovernmental institutions.Strategic Vision & Policy Acumen – Deep understanding of education systems, global development, and policy frameworks.Influence & Diplomacy – Skilled at engaging governments, donors, and multilateral agencies with credibility and tact.Communication & Thought Leadership – Exceptional storytelling, policy writing, and public-speaking ability.Partnership Building – Experience in forming alliances, coalitions, and international collaborations.Leadership & Collaboration – Proven ability to operate in cross-functional, multicultural teams with agility and resilience.Strategic Impact Areas
