Description

We are seeking a skilled Mainframe z / OS Technical Lead to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing mainframe projects, ensuring system performance, and providing technical leadership to a team of developers. This role involves working closely with various teams to deliver high-quality mainframe solutions that meet business needs.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage mainframe z / OS technical projects and initiatives.
Oversee the design, development, and implementation of mainframe applications.
Ensure system reliability, performance, and security through effective monitoring and maintenance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver solutions.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to mainframe systems and applications.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
Participate in capacity planning and disaster recovery efforts.
Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends related to mainframe systems.

Skills and Qualifications

4-14 years of experience in mainframe z / OS environment.

Proficient in JCL, COBOL, and CICS programming.

Strong understanding of DB2 and VSAM databases.

Experience with mainframe tools like IBM Rational Developer and CA Technologies products.

Familiarity with system utilities and mainframe operations.

Knowledge of performance tuning and optimization techniques.

Ability to lead technical discussions and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
