Lead Software Engineer (MERN)

Role

Hands-on ownership (~70% IC). Design, build, and scale MERN applications. Lead technical decisions, mentor a small team, and deliver production-ready solutions.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement backend APIs, services, and microservices using Node.js + TypeScript
• Build high-performance frontends with React (Hooks, state management, optimization)
• Design MongoDB schemas, indexes, aggregations , and data flows
• Implement auth, caching, eventing, rate-limits, queues, CI / CD
• Ensure code quality, SOLID, test coverage, performance and security
• Debug bottlenecks, conduct reviews, and unblock engineers
• Collaborate closely with product / design to ship features with clear timelines
