Job Title : ServiceNow Developer – Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)

Location : Remote

Job Type : Permanent

Joining : Immediate to 15 Days

Overview :

We are seeking a skilled ServiceNow Developer with a strong focus on Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) , formerly known as IT Business Management (ITBM). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in configuring, customizing, and implementing ServiceNow modules related to Project Portfolio Management (PPM), Demand Management, Resource Management , and related applications. This role will involve close collaboration with stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that align with business goals.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, develop, and implement solutions within the ServiceNow SPM suite , including :
Project Portfolio Management (PPM)
Demand Management
Resource Management
Time Tracking
Agile Development / SAFe (if applicable)
Customize forms, workflows, business rules, client scripts, and UI policies specific to SPM modules.
Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and performance analytics within ServiceNow to support portfolio and resource planning decisions.
Integrate SPM with other ServiceNow modules and external systems as needed.
Troubleshoot issues and perform root cause analysis for SPM-related functionalities.
Ensure platform best practices, coding standards, and governance policies are followed.
Participate in testing, training, and documentation activities.
Support upgrades and enhancements to the ServiceNow platform.

Required Qualifications :

3–5+ years of ServiceNow development experience , with a focus on SPM / ITBM modules.

Proven experience implementing and customizing :

Project and Portfolio Management

Demand Management

Resource Management

Solid understanding of ServiceNow platform capabilities including Flow Designer, Script Includes, Business Rules, REST APIs, etc.

Experience with Agile methodologies and managing development sprints in ServiceNow.

Familiarity with performance analytics and custom dashboard creation.

Strong understanding of project and portfolio governance principles.

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications :

ServiceNow Certified Application Developer

ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – SPM / ITBM

Experience with SAFe or Agile Development modules.

Experience with integrations between ServiceNow and third-party tools (JIRA, Clarity, MS Project, etc.).

Knowledge of CMDB and its relation to project and portfolio planning.
