Position Purpose

The person will be a key member of the Market Abuse IT team that is tasked to deliver multiple complex projects in the Trade Surveillance area. This role is within the Conduct, Control and Surveillance IT team. The team utilizes SONATA 2.0 infrastructure and technology to develop enhance & maintain Compliance Surveillance Models for BNP Paribas.

The candidate will collaborate with the Compliance & Financial Security teams and be a “go to” for technical execution of the product. The candidate is responsible to partner with all the functional and project leads in designing the solution and taking ownership of the execution and delivery. The candidate will recommend alternative solutions, design, integrate, and implement the right enterprise solutions for Compliance.

Responsibilities

Direct Responsibilities

• Work independently in application development / support / enhancements / bug-fixing.
• Utilize understanding of design principles in creating custom software solutions or modifying packages solutions
• Be a part of IT team to develop and contribute to initiatives that transform and modernize the capabilities and services of the Compliance and Trade Compliance function.
• Work with Compliance to identify appropriate models to cover various scenarios and validate existing setup.
• Ensure adherence to Bank and information systems policies and procedures, security measures and audit standards.
• Mentor junior team members on the technology & processes front.
• Share knowledge and skills with others within the team from time to time.
• Prepare high quality test plans and conduct the tests at Unit, Regression, Integration, Code reviews.
• Ensuring that the project and organization standards are followed during various phases of software development life cycle and day to day development work.
