Position Overview
The Head of Wholesale Inventory Funding & Working Capital Finance will lead and manage all aspects of inventory funding, working capital financing, and term loans for a multi-brand, pan-India automobile distribution business. The role focuses on ensuring seamless arrangement, renewal, monitoring, and repayment of finance limits for vehicles, spare parts, and accessories sourced from various OEMs, along with meeting routine and expansion-driven working capital needs.
This position requires strong banking relationships, robust financial planning, and the ability to lead a high-performance team while coordinating with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and strengthen relationships with Banks, NBFCs, and other financiers to arrange inventory funding, working capital limits (including dealer / channel finance and supply chain finance), and term loans for business operations and strategic requirements.
- Lead the complete lifecycle of financial facilities including renewal, expansion, enhancement, documentation, and repayments, ensuring zero overdue accounts and proactive planning of limit requirements.
- Coordinate effectively with OEMs and automobile brands for procurement-related finance arrangements; ensure working capital lines align with business growth and expansion plans.
- Manage routine and special stock audits for all financiers; maintain accurate reports, statements, and documentation for compliance and regulatory submissions.
- Oversee preparation, vetting, and execution of legal agreements with financiers; ensure adherence to compliance norms, stock statements, balance sheet submissions, and statutory documentation.
- Drive cross-functional coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure seamless finance availability and optimum utilization across locations and product categories.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of executives; foster operational excellence, performance accountability, and strong stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
CA or MBA (Finance) preferred; equivalent post-graduate qualification may be considered.15+ years of experience in Banking, Finance, or Automobile sectors with strong exposure to supply chain finance and working capital management.Proven experience in balance sheet analysis, inventory management, stock audits, compliance, and financial documentation.Strong financial analytical skills, negotiation capabilities, stakeholder management, and leadership experience.Desired Skills
